Officers and Committee for 2009–10

At the AGM in May, Mansour Gemie indicated that, because of pressure of work, he did not wish to be considered for the office of chairman and he is succeeded by Raymond Suszek. There were no other changes of office for the coming year and they remain as follows.

• Webmaster: James Foster
• Newsletter and leaflet editor: Rachel Findlay

Committee members Nigel Sheridan and Mike Perry will oversee matters concerned with the proposed observatory.

Gallery photos

The Gallery pages have been rejigged. The latest set of photos are from the Stamp into Space meeting held at Dumfries Museum. Members are invited to submit to the Webmaster more photos for inclusion.

Programme for the year 2009–10

Dates for the ordinary monthly meetings for September 2009 to May 2010 are still provisional and will be published on confirmation. The programme for the year is being put together and details will be published as they become clear.

The meetings will be held once again in the St George’s Church Hall, as the renovation work there is now complete.

Joining the Society

You are welcome to come along to a meeting or two before joining, to see what we have to offer. However, if you want to attend on a regular basis and receive copies of our newsletters, then you need to join the Society. For details of the current fee and a mailing address contact the Secretary.
