Stamp into Space, a special open meeting at the Dumfries Museum, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Two illustrated talks are planned, the first on A Light Outburst by DAS member Rachel Findlay, the second by Mrs Morrison on Stamps and Astronomy. Weather permitting, there will be an opportunity to do some stargazing between the two talks.
Members of Dumfries Philatelic Society (and anyone else with an interest in philately or astronomy) will be made especially welcome.

A talk by Chris O'Kane of the Glasgow Science Centre entitled The Pharaoh, the stars and a god called Horakhti, lavishly illustrated with his own photography of Egypt and the night sky, with a little bit of astronomy software thrown in too.
Chris and his partner Lorna have been to many Astronomy weekends organised by Alec MacKinnon and our President Mark Toner.
